continuing group of juveniles, first reported to Maine-birds listserv by Steve Mirick via second hand report "present for a few days" on 3 November. Extent of pink in bill seems beyond expected range for Trumpeter, all black legs and feet perhaps more diagnostic. Incredibly tame, while walking down to the shore (birds not originally visible) they came swimming around the corner and right towards me, eventually settling on the small island in the cove.
