Detalles de la observación
This small jaeger flushed next to boat (recorded as "jaeger sp." in some checklists). Heavy head and bill, extensive dusky crown, wavy/broken pattern in black/white uppertail coverts, moderate rufous tone in body plumage point away from LTJA, as do the relatively heavy belly and pale brown nape that contrasts with dark crown. Initially, the upper wing (with what appear to be 2 white primary shafts) led us to consider LTJA, but occasional PAJA have 3 or even 2 white shafts, of course. (See photos by Andrew Rapp for better detail.)
