Detalles de la observación
I saw this bird a few times for two days from the south shore of the reservoir. For the most part, it remained east of the small island occupied much of the day by loafing white pelicans, cormorants, and gulls. I saw it once on the island for a short while. The bird was a breeding adult with yellowish-white forehead, and a whitish crown and stripe from the auriculars/side of the head down the side of the neck. The long bill was pale above and black below. The body was dark brown. The bird was very large compared to other species seen nearby: cormorants, gulls, coots, and gadwalls.
