This male seems aberrant for all masked weaver species with its flesh colored bill. Outide of that abnormal trait I still couldn’t find a good match. It has a pitch black eye in all photos, which doesn’t fit Vittelline Masked, though limited black on the face and small straight bill fit that species. Northern Masked-Weaver considered, but bill is too refined and the extent of black on the face limited. Hybrid should probably be considered.
Detalles de la observación
Seems like it should be straight forward, but unable to find a weaver with a pale bill, plain back, limited black on face, and black eye color. Does not show any hint of red to eye like Vitelline, though limited black on throat perhaps fits that species best.
