Detalles de la observación
They liked to stay hidden among the grasses, occasionally coming out from the foliage. Here I could see one of them inserting its bill into the stem of a ginger-like leaf, pulling out pulp and eating it. It also took grass seeds simultaneously during the foraging. During the observation, they made a very American Goldfinch-like feeding call; soft notes, quietly given as they hopped in the foliage. They seemed to display mostly field-marks mainly of Lonchura tristissima, but with buffy-orange flanks, white spotting on the back, wing-coverts and tertials - features, according to Beehler et al., of White-spotted (Manakin) Munia.
