Detalles de la observación
Rare; very rare from land, and possibly early this far South. Lone bird; saw some small white bird land on the water. My heart exploded as I knew what I saw! Bird came in from the North, landed a few times on the water, and then continued South. Was a good distance out, but flight style and overall behavior support the basis of a phalarope. Seen with Carl Long-winged appearance with bright white underwing lacking much dark contrast, small eye mask and light grey back looking unstreaked lean me REPH. Without comparison to another object, it is hard to discern, but in the photo where it is on the surface, the bird looks good sized with a thicker bill base. Confident, but I will throw this out to others and update ID if needed.
