Perched on curb, bill open slightly.
Detalles de la observación
Observed and photographed for approximately one minute during initial observation, when bird flew up to perch about 12 feet up in a tree. Heard calling repeatedly, a high and slightly rising "sweet sweet sweet" -- fairly loud. Obtained video of the bird twitching on the branch, but only after it had stopped vocalizing. A few minutes later, saw and photographed the bird down along one of the walkways, gleaning berries from the low privet(?) hedges lining the walkway. The bird would fly up about 3-4 feet, hover briefly to nab a berry on the wing, then return to the curb of the walkway and quickly gobble it. The bluetail did this about six times when I was watching. It then disappeared into a hedge. See photos.
