Very rapid motion as it fed for a short time in flowers before flitting off.
Detalles de la observación
Very tiny hummingbird feeding in a group of low flowers. Flight was very erratic and low to the ground. My first thought was a moth but was unable to get but 1 photo that was focused. Throat with chains of spots, greenish back, short tail, short bill, and white supraloral area. Female or immature. I have observed Calliope Hummingbirds at feeders but mostly have seen small groups with males on mountainous hikes feeding low to the ground in very short flowers or flowering shrubs similar to the alpine flowers on Mt Rainier vegetation.
