LIFE BIRD(S!) :-) Most were young birds, a couple dark individuals, and a light adult. I've interspersed my photos among detailed notes from Victor Fazio: Four juvenile birds appeared in quick succession shortly after making our way from shore 8:32 to 8:37; these birds were in a hurry arcing through gull flocks with a westbound intent. Same bird in these two photos (above & below). A fifth and somewhat darker bird [** See Pomarine Jeager pics on this checklist**] was picked up distant within a small gull flock. Chased down 8:39-41 to within 100 meters, when a 6th bird was spotted on the horizon about 300 meters to the NE amidst a concentration of Common Terns. All these birds followed the trek of gulls and terns westward precluding double counting. 7th and 8th: 9:03-04; arrival of stunning pale adult Parasitic Jaeger. Although clearly on a mission westbound, deft maneuvering of the boat permitted both sides of the boat outstanding views as we criss-crossed each others wake. The bird kept low, infrequently above 5-6 meters. Seen from every angle. As the bird cleared the area, another juvenile came in and the two gave chase to Common Terns. Ninth: a very dark bird was followed 9:09 to 9:12, before losing it to the horizon off to the west.
