Detalles de la observación
Head, neck, and breast washed in smudgy brown, not crisply marked as in Ring-billed Gull. Small, thin bill with dark tip. Dark eye. Overall size slightly smaller than Ring-billed Gull (with direct comparison). Mantle color darker than Ring-billed Gull in direct comparison, roughly as dark as adjacent Franklin's Gulls. Small rounded head with "gentle" expression. Aged as second-cycle by mostly adult plumage without terminal white spots in primaries and with solidly black-tipped bill. This is my (RPO) 244th species in Cache County this year. These photographs are frame grabs from digiscoped video; the Mew Gull is indicated by the blue lines.
