Standing fairly close to the road at the lower pond, where the road turns towards the boat ramp. I sat in my car and photographed it. On the way back, I checked again and it was even closer to me. I tried to carefully sneak past it, but it flushed and flew back into the stagnant water between the pond and the mudflat.
