Detalles de la observación
I've spotted the same American woodcock three times, foraging in the same residential area at different times. It focuses on unfrozen ground covered in pine needles beneath pine trees, and I watched it emerge from a pile of brush on the ground. Initially observed around 1:45 a.m. on Dec. 10, then again around 10:50 p.m. the same day. I saw it again around 2:30 a.m. Dec. 14, followed by a daytime observation about 12 hours later, where I observed it from about 2:50-4 p.m. During that time, the woodcock repeatedly foraged in the same area, frequently pulling out worms, grubs and other small invertebrates from the ground.
