Our guide Games identified this as a dark-necked tailorbird, but we did not see the bird(s) giving the calls. When reviewing this recording, I think there is a dark-necked tailorbird rattle in the beginning of this recording, but not sure what the loud ascending call is for the bulk of the recording. Merlin called it a purple sunbird, which does seem to match purple sunbird song nor did we see one at this location, There were lots of Crimson sunbirds around while I was making this recording.
