After walking all the way down Hammond Ridge, it wasn't until I got back to my house that I encountered an owl. And it was even a yard bird! Started singing from behind the yard and progressively got closer to the road. Gray morph; great views obtained. Flew off low over the road and disappeared into the nearby woods.
