Continuing. Finally appeared near 42.795478, -70.849423 just after 10:30am, always staying low at the edge of the field, flitting to and fro but with long pauses either perched or on the ground, eventually moving west to the pig sty and fences when I said my goodbyes. Bill and chest stained (adorably) with the dark purple pokeweed berries it was eating. Incredibly confiding — at one point it was chased by a mockingbird and landed in the field just a few feet away from me. Lovely to spend so much quality time with this bird, despite the cold and the wind!
