Continuing; Lin and I were stopped by a local who asked about the bird when Lin spotted it in a rhododendron at 2402 Spring Blvd. In blind panic I took a few pictures while revealing in actually finding it. The local was also very excited, which was fun. All the neighbors I saw were friendly and asked if I'd spotted the rarity yet. It's just an absolute cutie with its small yellow body and black hood. I take back anything bad I've ever said about warblers. This one wasn't easy to find, but holy hell it was worth it. Pictures incoming.
