Continuing bird. Seen above and on the trail about halfway between the parking area that’s in the middle of the field and the sharp bend in the river. So walking from the parking area with the river on the left scan among the Juncos and Mourning doves. I had almost given up hope. However, I luckily had the drive to assess the rather white bellied bird that flew up from the trail onto the tree branch. What a delight to recognize it is something I didn’t recognize! Probably more thrilling was the opportunity to attract the three other birders in the area trying to find it and help them see it. And I got pictures! I think that’s the trifecta: find the bird, show the bird,photograph the bird. So cool!
