Detalles de la observación
I first discovered this Barrow's Goldeneye among a large group of COGOs straight north of Point Douglas Beach (very much W of MN/WI line), and was quickly able to get the rest of the birding party on it. The Barrow's Goldeneye had a peaked forehead, a teardrop-crescent-shaped white patch in front of the eye, a well-defined black shoulder spur, and "piano-key" white spots on black back. This is a different individual than the bird found 13mi north at Lake St. Croix Beach yesterday, as that bird was refound today. Poor digiscoped pic.
