Detalles de la observación
Would assume these are likely the same pair of Bald Eagles that bred here earlier this year, being present from at least early December 2024 (at which time they appeared to already by incubating in the nest), and remained until at least early May of this year, fledging one youngster at some point in mid-to-late April. On this visit, one adult was initially seen (while driving down to the parking area close to the northern end of the park) flying upstream along the Colorado River, possibly heading for Lake LBJ. The other adult was at the nest, but perched on its perimeter eating something. Guessing this was the female, and that the bird flying off was the male having just dropped off a food item. The eagle on the nest stayed there for perhaps a half hour, but then flew off, and didn't see either BAEA thereafter.
