Flew lazily in from west-ish, passed over Treasure Island and continued toward the East Bay; then came straggling back a little while later and landed with a raft of gulls on the Bay near the island between Clipper Cove Beach and the bridge. Small, very short-necked white goose when on the water. UPDATE: I'm downgrading this to Snow/Ross's. After feeling confident in the field that it was a Ross's based on impressions of size and structure, I'm much less clear now that I've looked at my photos. The bill looks a little long, and I think there's a black stripe on the bill. That being said, the head and neck structure and tiny size still does look like Ross's. So I'm wondering if this might actually be a hybrid...
