Detalles de la observación
First impression was of female type Blue-winged Teal. Appeared to have noticeable pale white at base of bill. Dark eyeline and pale eye arcs seemed visible with scope. Bird was mostly hanging by itself around the northern edge of the pond, not associating with the group of Cinnamon Teals on the eastern side near the viewing area in front of the tunnel. The bird spent most of the time hidden in the cattails near the shore, but occasionally would briefly pop out into view. Attempted for some distant photos but only one turned out semi decent. In the photo the white at the base of the bill is not as prominent as it looked in the field, and I can not really make out any eye arcs, but the bill seems a bit smaller than a cinnamon, and the head does appear more gray.
