Buteo in flight showing much white on mantle, wings and at base of tail. Distal tail appeared reddish. The perched hawk, facing away from observer, exhibited much the same. Head mostly white with dark spot on lower cheek and smudge by eye, much white spangling on mantle, and reddish-brown dorsal tail with dark bars. Distant photos of perched bird tba.
