Continuing. First seen flying with a flock of sparrows up from the ground into the small tree right next to the dog waste station where the trail leaves the parking lot down towards the lake (38.67807,-122.26797), the outer white tail feathers separating it from the White-crowned Sparrows around it. It then came out and perched on a branch for a couple of minutes, before flying down to a small rock at the edge of the parking lot. Distinct white eye ring, streaked upper chest and sides. I did not see the second one that has been reported here.
