Very rare, rare anywhere in California away from the stakeout spot in San Diego. Potential first county record for Inyo. Many photos. First seen by Curtis last night at dusk. Bumped into it several times around the golf course throughout the morning, last seen around noon flying very high and distant over the desert, gaining altitude. Primaries and tail feathers worn. No jesses, and bird's behavior including disappearing midday suggest wild bird.
