I counted (a total of) 19 male and female scissortail flycatchers on the power line and the tallest tree (just south of the power line) along the west side of the canal. Mostly they stayed on the power line but in small groups, they would fly northeast across the road to the tallest tree, just the other side of the road, and then back. They were mostly sitting and preening. A couple grabbed a snack mid-air. Three males gave chase to an American Crow. I used Merlin sound ID and five other birders to identify.
