At first, with the bird on the ground, seen for a few seconds, in color resembled a juvenile Bald Eagle, with dark eyes, white head speckled and streaked with dark brown, back dark brown, speckled with white. Bird leapt into the air, underside of wings white with dark wrist patches, white tail with a wide dark brown bar across the tips of the tail feathers. Small bill, feet and short legs. Upper chest white streaked with dark brown. Dark brown belly area, white under tail. Flying, the bird kites, floating above the ground. It flew west, uphill to trees lining the top of the hill and perched on tip branches. Too far for a good photo, blurry photo included.
