Vagrant in the Azores

Juvenile watched flying over rocks on foreshore - when I ‘pished’ it came in closer and dropped down onto small pool right in front of me. Tiny calidrid with overall brownish tones to plumage, streaked darker on crown, with blackish feather centres and mid- or pale brown fringes (becoming more rufous on inner scapulars), off-whitish underparts with greyish wash across breast and limited diffuse streaking on breast sides, black bill and yellowish-green legs. Photographed - presumably the bird reported earlier by Mathieu Bally
