Detalles de la observación
Totally unexpected find this morning whilst counting wildfowl on Wraysbury Res. Watching a couple of assumed fresh in Water Pipit my eye was immediately drawn to a gull in the foreground flying low over the water. Very distinctive wing pattern, tricoloured - white triangular pattern with black wing tips and grey mantle. Unmistakably a juvenile Sabines Gull. Watched for a few minutes to just make sure I wasn’t imagining fees making notes of features but clearly couldn’t be anything else. It flew low past me towards the west of the reservoir occasionally dip feeding along the way. It then did a 180 and went across the east side closest M25 where I got extremely good views as it occasionally landed. Carried on north and appeared to be trying to get out of the res doing circuits. Still here at 11:25. Unbelievable morning.
