Detalles de la observación
Alan reported a distant group of what he thought were Dunlin way out on the northern edge of the East flats, but he wasn't able at the time to go out there. I walked out to confirm. While walking out, I confirmed a number of Dunlin with a larger group of Pectorals - but they were quickly flushed by something and took a while in miserable conditions to refind. When a big group of shorbs relanded on that same spot, there were six Dunlin mixed in with 37 Pectorals. The Dunlin clearly stood out with short and stocky bodies, short legs, and long, droopy bills. A couple had remnants of the black belly from breeding plumage. My hunch is that there were a few more Dunlin in the area (had two with a few pecs and peeps on the way out closer to entrance... no way to know if they were the same birds). Peregrine and wind had birds all over the place. May have a few crappy digiscopes before I bagged trying.
