Continuing bird. See photos. Chunky seabird with pale yellow, wedge-shaped bill, dark-chocolate brown above, on head, and upper breast, starkly contrasting with white belly. Pale yellow feet. Viewed bird initially while it sat on a snag on the Lee County side while we were standing under the Highway 42 on the Chatham County side of the river. Optics included binoculars and a scope. The bird periodically moves from perch to perch between the Buckhorn Dam and the Highway 42 bridge.
