37.419308,-122.073538 Small Old World Flycatcher that is very dark all over the dorsal surface with a dirty white abdomen and chest. Heavy dark streaking on the breast down the sides or flanks. Noticeable posterior bulge on the white eye ring. White horizontal crescent that divides the head from the chest. Heavy dark spotting on the breast (this could be a juvenile bird). Jagged white wing bars. Small, dark bill that is typical in size and shape for Old World Muscicapid flycatchers. The behavior of this bird is like a Contopus flycatcher in that in perches out in the open, at the tops of trees and poses for photos. Unfortunately the bird is small and far away. The tail is noticeably notched (this is visible when the bird perches), and the long primaries are also quite noticeable when the wings are folded and the bird is perched. Overall, this bird looks like a Western Bluebird and an Olive-sided Flycatcher had a baby. The bird moves around a lot along a north-south azimuth. There are some issues with public access to this location that I cannot describe well but be aware that this is a Google property and security may ask questions or even potentially ask you to leave. The security topic is still developing.
