Eastern Phoebe at North Rice's Pond, Fountain Creek Regional Park, El Paso County, Colorado.
Detalles de la observación
Flagged as rare. Flat-headed flycatchers with dark gray heads, wings, back, and tail; whitish underside with faint yellow wash visible on several of the birds. Actively sallying over the waterbodies and bobbing their tails. Observed as 1, 2, 1, and 1 individuals from the Spa, north end of North Rice’s Pond, south end of North Rice’s Pond (where a pair fledged several young in 2025), and the north end of South Rice’s Pond, respectively. Based on the distances between these observations and relatively short periods of time between, these are most likely 5 unique individuals. At least three other Eastern Phoebes were documented closer to the nature center and Duckwood areas during the bird count this morning as well.
