Thoughts on this bird's identity welcomed if any empid experts think that this is not a Least. Jay saw this bird yesterday and noted a tail pumping action neither of us have seen regularly in Least, leading us to believe it might be possibly be something else. We relocated the bird early this morning and watched it carefully but settled on Least after awhile. Gillian was with us and may have other pictures that are better. At one point, the bird started calling, giving a dry "wit". FWIW, Merlin picked it up as a Least. I don't consider that as gospel by any means. More importantly, the bird does appear to be short winged, relatively speaking, and the eye ring and head shape seem decent for Least.
