Flew across hwy 61 while I was driving and I was able to immediately identify it by the structure/general color pattern of the bird in flight. I stopped and refound it feeding on the shoulder of the hwy. Large pale Sparrow with long tail with white corners. Heavy rusty marking on the face with conical bill. Giving diagnostic sharp but fairly clean descending flight call. Cell phone photos.
