I was done birding and went for a swim, when I saw the hundreds of birds flush. Even with my bare eyes, one bird stood out for being completely dark. I swam like mad back to the shore to try to get my bins on it, which I couldn’t. Luckily the bird landed on the beach afterwards, next to a Roseate Tern.
