Detalles de la observación
*rare in spring. potentially heard this bird a few minutes before seeing it, very high overhead giving double-noted call that seemed like a good match for this species; could not locate it at the time, with loud wave noise and multiple folks talking at the same time. about five minutes later saw a single blackbird descending from very high and continuing e/se over town. views were mostly going away, but gave the impression of a blackbird that was uniformly dark with a large but slender body, broad yet long wings, fairly broad and slightly graduated tail that didn't appear overly long and occasionally gave a slightly notched appearance. flight style was more deliberate and less bouncy than RWBL, with fairly level flight path and slowish wingbeats. fired off a few photos at a great distance. pix seem to confirm impression of shape seen in field; pale bib and at times face evident, obvious bill, and at least one photo seems to show white primary coverts on the left wing.
