Photographed. The bird was initially spotted by Angela Romanczuk while birding with her group along with local guide Pallab and Hemanta from Kaziranga on the morning of 23/1/25. This is the second record from NE India and first for Assam. It was first reported from the Upper Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh by Dr. Anwaruddin Choudhury in November 2002.
