Lifer (for May & Helen)! 1 running along sandy road; initially we all thought it was a Pipit, as its movement & behaviours were very Pipit-like . However, as we crept closer, the darker markings, as well as buff wing panel & blunt, shorter, thicker bill ruled out a Pipit. Long-legged sparrow-like bird, with thick, blunt, broad bill.
