Detalles de la observación
I would get at least one identifiable digiscoped photo of one of the birds. Medium-sized gull with short bill; mix of ages and plumages. Alternate plumage adults had yellow bill with conspicuous black ring close to the tip; pale iris; yellow legs; pale mantle; black primaries with small white tips. In flight, alternate plumage had limited black at the end of the primaries with small white spots on the outer primaries; unmarked white tail. Basic plumage adults had thin grayish-brown streaking on the back of crown and neck. 1st winter birds had pale gray mantle; pink bill with black tip; white below with brown mottling on breast and nape; finer brownish streaking on crown; primaries black without white spots. 2nd winter birds had plumage like winter adult but with a bit more streaking around the head and nape; bill a bit more greenish-yellow with obvious black ring near tip.
