Seen at ~4-6’ range for 1-2 minutes. Heard single and double “jip” calls. Recorded videos, one of which has clearly audible calls that sound very good for PAWR. A couple screenshots from a video are attached. The bird appeared to have the gape of a juvenile and acted curious and unafraid as many juveniles do. This location is just off the West Branch trail, close to the junction with the Blue Lake Trail. Six years ago in early November, I thought I saw one just 250m from this spot but wasn’t able to confirm.
