***MEGA - very rare on the Atlantic side, with only a handful of records. Light morph. A rather small shearwater compared to the common shearwater of the day, excluding Audubon's. Seen moving with a Sooty Tern, which its size was comparable to. Darker brown above overall than Cory's, with a long tail lacking pale upper or undertail. Pale underneath. Small and thin bill, darker than Cory's. Pale secondaries/coverts form a noticeable "bar" on the upperside of the wings.
