Detalles de la observación
See pic. No obvious eye ring, no buffy wash on face, and grayer flanks, so it's not a Swainson's. And this bird doesn't have the cinnamon tail of a Hermit. I saw it on the walk that leads up to the bird blind at Rod & Gun Club Pond. (This is the only pic I have because in the field, I thought it was a Swainson's. If I had known it was a Gray-cheeked, I would have taken more photos!) More things that point to Gray-cheeked: Distinct dark lines at sides of throat coalesce with prominent brownish-black triangular spots on lower throat and breast. Belly and sides marked with oval-shaped spots (spots wider than long) distinctly paler than breast spots. Cold grayish wash on flanks (this color similar to upperparts). Grayish sides and flanks and minimal buff wash on breast highly distinctive. -
