Detalles de la observación
Continuing. We arrived to thousands of sandpipers and dunlin, but only a few semis. Plover flock flew in at 0727, within 10 min of arrival. And there it was. 37.4951848, -122.1503131. Excellent looks and calm winds. It was about a 5-foot tide and falling. The flocks moved short distances but they weren’t very flighty. It was still present in the general area when left at 0830. Broken collar, lighter plumage than semis, bright orange legs, wash of white over the eye. Whitish rump was seen several times while it preened. Also glimpsed the lack of palmation between the outer toe and middle toe of the left leg as it posed briefly for a view in the scope. Also glimpsed the lack of palmation between the 3 forward-pointing toes of the right leg as it paused between sprints.
