Detalles de la observación
Continuing bird just north of Lot 6 stairs feeding with the Sanderlings and the Dunlin. It is about the same size as the Sanderlings. Slender bird with wing tips and tail about the same length. Bright eye stripe, scaled appearance to back, streaked appearance to the top of the head, light taupe collar. Mottled dark taupe color to feathers on wings, back and tail. Primaries dark gray. White throat and belly. You can see a white rump when it flies and when it stretches. It was first spotted in the middle of a resting group of Sanderlings and then went everywhere they did. As a group they would work the seaweed and sand east up the beach and then fly back west towards the stairs and start all over again often coming very close to us.
