Detalles de la observación
#12/28/2023 Update: A coastal birder has confirmed my suspicion that the only large Larus at the dam today was a Cook Inlet Gull (Herring x Glaucous-winged). I initially did not report as such due to the fact that Olympic Gull (Western x Glaucous-winged) is much more common in the Columbia Basin. The gull in question looks nearly identical to a 4th cycle Herring Gull, but head streaks are heavily diffused and sooty, the bill is exceptionally hefty and large, and iris is pale but dusky gray. Primaries appear blackish. Photos.
