Minimum count. We saw 3 flying to this area and when we approached closer,8 were counted. photos A long term goal ( many years)was to see and photograph Pure white , winter plumage ptarmigans. Thanks to recent reports, Jason D., we thought there were good numbers In this area- Success! According to Mt. Rainier road status reports, the road to Mowich Lake is scheduled to close 16 October , Ie. Tomorrow.
