Detalles de la observación
Heard and recorded (attached -- at 5 seconds and 15 seconds) while walking along an abandoned road at 9700’ elevation on the west side of Ironton Park. At roughly 8:30 am (before the sun had risen above the mountains), the thrush was calling from a steep slope above the marshy valley bottom that is densely wooded with aspen trees. The spot we heard it was just north of the mouth of Full Moon Gulch. The single clear note (almost like a referee whistle) was repeated at least six times, with about 10 seconds between each call. Unfortunately, we were unable to see the bird. A photograph of the terrain and vegetation is attached.
