**Rare/Uncommon migrant shorebird. Wow what do you know another Whimbrel!! Spotting this guy at first I was hoping to find a straight or upturned bill ie. Godwit. Darn. Not to be ungrateful, but it seems these guys are following me around. And to give them credit I will no longer use the word " dull " when referring to their plumage. Large ,long bodied shorebird nicely scalloped black and mostly brown with fiber lighter brown streaking of breast and underside. Long necked and small head distinguished by contrasting crown and brow stripes. Distinct long decurved bill used to probe the muddy fields. Spooked and flushed by Harrier with entire flock of Starling and KILL, just to circle back round and drop back in as if to "flip off" the raptor!! Photos TBA.
