Detalles de la observación
the supposed coastal bird seem to be quite common at plantfree banks here. I was curious to know how they were going to make much use of their long upturned bill inland, and found that like many other typical sandpipers, they just simply pick insects clean off from the mud, or dig their bills verticle to the ground and snatch things out from the mud. observed a more interesting way of feeding, when they put their bills into the muddy water verticle to the ground, and with the tip of the bill still in the water, walk on while swaying their head from side to side, very similar to the way the spoonbills feed. Can't remenber seeing them feed this way out on the coast.
