NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 10. Bulk reel: 24 Note: See M. ruficollis Cut 13. Natural song. Another bird had been singing closer but stopped before I could record it. Quality: 2. Level: +10. Then this bird started with Cut 3 type but changed before I could get on it. Then I moved closer. Here another bird is heard singing in background. Perhaps it's the first bird that I didn't get to record. Quality: 2 (high background). Level: +5. [Recordist indicated that he used a parabola but did not specify make/model.] The next day I set up at dawn where this bird sang today, hoping to be able to record it well from the start. However the birds sang from different positions, some distance away. [Note in margin]: See Cut 11. On succeeding days, I tried again, with similar results and then later birds weren't heard. This wseems to be a pattern for this species. See Cut 13. Number of individuals=UU1-2;.
